The front entrance is complete both inside and out!!! Our team of workers is behind amazing… remember, the ballroom is available as a rental venue for parties, receptions and events. We also have retail and office space for rent.
The original mission of the Anaconda Restoration Association (ARA) was to stop the deterioration of the historic Montana Hotel (painting, repairing brick, renovating spaces to lease to businesses, and acquire tenants for those spaces) with the intent for the hotel to become a sustainable historic landmark for the community of Anaconda.
In a recent survey in The Anaconda Leader, the Montana Hotel was ranked number 1 among readers ranking their favorite historic landmark in Anaconda. The ARA recently obtained funding from the State Historical Preservation Office to help accomplish this mission. Additionally, a planning grant has been awarded to determine the structural integrity and best use of the Montana in the future.
The SHPO grant will be used primarily to reconstruct the lobby floor to make it usable for community events. This project is currently underway, with Bentley Construction of Butte, MT working as the contractor. Following this, new flooring will be placed.
